Features of our Quality Management System
Traceability of Customer's Components in our System
Every component is allotted a UNIQUE ID called a PIN in our system.
Customer's components are received, and a Material Inward Number (MIN) is allotted against the PIN.
A Batch Card is generated for that PIN and given to the Shop Floor, with the above MIN linked automatically by the computerized system.
When the part is taken up for processing, a log is maintained for the process where the Batch Card is linked to it, thereby linking the MIN automatically.
When an Invoice is raised during dispatch, an outward number (MON) is generated for the PIN and linked to the earlier MIN, thereby completely closing the loop of FULL TRACEABILITY for all parts processed at Prithvi Metals. Parts can also be marked with a unique traceability code using our CNC Pin Marking Machine.
Automatic Control and Monitoring of Calibration of Measuring Instruments and Gauges
Every instrument, gauge, or equipment is allotted a UNIQUE ID (PIN) in our system.
Date of Purchase, Calibration Interval, and other relevant details are recorded in the system against the PIN.
The computerized program monitors the current date, compares it with the calculated calibration due date, and generates a WARNING before the due date.
After calibration is completed and the date is entered, the ‘Next Due Date’ is generated automatically by resetting the calibration interval pre-defined by us.
Engineering Change Note (ECN)
Every part, including its intermediate stages (if any) during manufacturing at our facility, is allotted a UNIQUE ID (PIN) in our system.
When an engineering change is initiated due to any process requirement, it is entered in a table with an ECN number against its PIN.
Every PIN is linked to its intermediate stage PINs at the time of item creation during the Product Development phase itself.
When an ECN is opened against any PIN, all concerned PINs are BLOCKED automatically. A large warning is generated across the production-related BATCH CARD, warning users NOT to take up production until the ECN is cleared by the system.
The ECN format also records changes made to the PIN or any of its intermediate stages.
The BLOCK is released only when all concerned documents are updated with the latest status and revision numbers in the computerized system. The program compares the previous and current revision numbers to ensure differences exist, thereby ensuring revisions are properly recorded and the system updated.
